Grace's Vale Copper Earrings

There's a quietness to these that I didn't plan it just came out of the copper that way.

I cut each groove by hand across the face of the hoop, one diagonal at a time, letting the polished line catch the light against the matte ground. The contrast was always the point something a little wild held inside something round and complete.

People who wear copper close to their skin tend to notice things. A softness somewhere. A steadiness they can't quite name. I've heard it enough times now that I've stopped being surprised.

I hope these find someone who appreciates the quiet things.
